The Guarà was the final car DeTomaso released with input from company founder Alejandro de Tomaso. The design was based on the 1991 Maserati Barchetta Stradale prototype, which was designed by Carlo Gaino at Synthesis Design. The Guarà was introduced at the 1993 Geneva Motor Show and was offered in coupe, spyder, and barchetta variants, all featuring composite bodywork over an aluminum honeycomb backbone chassis,” said the seller.
