ASUS Rog Ally Handheld PC Official
The ASUS ROG Ally handheld PC started as an April Fools’ Day joke and just became official as of today. This device reportedly boasts a semi-custom 4nm AMD Ryzen APU that is the fastest yet, along with a Zen4 CPU and RDNA 3 graphics. What really sets it apart from Valve’s Steam Deck is support for the ASUS ROG XG Mobile eGPU, which will boost its performance to high-end level laptop levels.

Other specs include a 7-inch (1920 x 1080) 16:9 aspect ratio display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a dual cooling fan system that operates at a whisper quiet 20 dB. No other details have been revealed, although it does appear to be a Best Buy pre-order exclusive, or at least for now. As for pricing, it is purportedly ‘competitive’, which could mean anywhere between $399 (Steam Deck) to $799 (GPD Win 4). There’s no word yet on when the pre-order will actually go live nor a definite release date.
