A modern Ferrari Testarossa might be years away, but this Ferrari SF90-based concept by Maltese Design gives us a preview of what it could look like. The original made its debut at the 1984 Paris Motor Show, powered by a 4.9L flat-12 engine making 365 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

This modern hommage keeps the iconic side strakes, yet adds a few more in the front bumper and rear taillights. If the powertrain from the SF90 is used, it would be powered by a 4.0L turbocharged V8 engie, paired with three electric motors, that generate a combined 986 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. How much would a new Testarossa cost? Most likely in between the SF90 ($525K) and LaFerrari ($1.4-million), although we’re leaning towards the latter.
