49-inch Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 Unveiled, Features AI Upscaling and 240Hz Refresh Rate
The new 49-inch Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 monitor was officially unveiled today, and it builds upon its predecessor, the G8, by adding next-generation AI upscaling technology. Featuring an 1800R curvature, it’s the first OLED monitor to offer Dual Quad High Definition (DQHD; 5,120 x 1,440) resolution with a 32:9 aspect ratio.
Its large and wide screen ratio enable users to immerse themselves in super-ultrawide vistas, while its rapid 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time and 240Hz refresh rate offer players a competitive edge without any screen tearing. The monitor is powered by Samsung’s Neo Quantum Processor Pro sets the Odyssey OLED G9 apart from other OLED gaming monitors. Using a deep learning algorithm, it intelligently analyzes images and automatically upscales to adjust brightness while amplifying contrast. Available today, priced at $2199.99 USD.
